When an oil purifier leaks, stop the machine safely, isolate the oil flow and locate the leak before restarting. Do not continue operation simply because the leakage appears minor. Oil may reach electrical components, create a slipping hazard, cause environmental contamination, or allow air to enter a vacuum system.
Stop the pump and heating system. If oil has reached the control cabinet, motor wiring or other electrical parts, disconnect the power according to site safety procedures.
Close the inlet and outlet valves to prevent additional oil from entering the leaking section.
Relieve pressure or release vacuum only after the equipment has stopped and the procedure is confirmed safe.
Place a suitable container or absorbent material under the leak. Do not use hands to check a pressurized connection.

| Leak location | Possible cause | Recommended check |
|---|---|---|
| Pipe joints and hose connections | Loose fittings, damaged threads, aging hoses or hardened gaskets | Inspect the joint after isolation; retighten correctly or replace the damaged part. |
| Filter housing or cover | Incorrectly fitted sealing ring, damaged cover gasket or uneven tightening | Clean the sealing surface and install a compatible new seal if necessary. |
| Drain valve | Valve not fully closed, worn valve seat or blocked sealing surface | Check the valve position and sealing condition. Replace the valve if it cannot shut off reliably. |
| Pump shaft area | Worn mechanical seal, excessive vibration or dry running | Inspect the pump seal and alignment. Seal replacement may require qualified maintenance personnel. |
| Vacuum tank or sight glass | Loose connection, cracked glass or damaged flange gasket | Do not operate under vacuum until the tank and sealing parts have been checked. |
After the machine is isolated and the oil has cooled, clean the outside of the equipment so the actual leak point can be identified. Check whether the oil comes from a threaded joint, flange, gasket, hose, valve or pump seal. Tightening should be moderate and performed with the appropriate tool; excessive force can deform a flange or damage the thread.
Seals and hoses must be compatible with the treated oil, operating temperature and vacuum conditions. A gasket that works with one oil may swell, harden or lose elasticity when used with another oil. Do not seal a leaking joint permanently with unsuitable adhesive or improvised materials.
For a vacuum oil purifier, even a small leak on the suction side can cause air ingress and reduce vacuum dehydration or degassing performance. If the vacuum cannot be maintained after external joints have been checked, inspect the tank cover, valves, hoses, sight glass and pump sealing system.

Confirm that all covers, valves, hoses and fittings are correctly installed.
Remove spilled oil and keep the electrical cabinet dry.
Run a short low-load test and observe every repaired point.
Check for abnormal vibration, pump noise, temperature rise or unstable vacuum.
Restart normal filtration only after the leak has stopped and the system operates steadily.
If the leak is located inside the pump, vacuum tank or heating section, or if the cause is unclear, stop using the oil purifier and contact qualified service personnel or the equipment manufacturer. Regular inspection of hoses, gaskets, valves, filter covers and pump seals helps prevent leakage during oil filtration and vacuum oil purification.
